Boss Frog Double Max Miata Roll BarMAXIMUM HEIGHT AND MAXIMUM RECLINE! The Boss Frog Maxx rollbars have a rake angle on the top portion of the Maxx hoops, which positions the top of the hoops about 1-1/2" further rearward for increased headroom and recline angle. The overall height of the Maxx rollbars is the same as the standard hoops. The Maxx hoop design, like the standard hoops, have been tested following the SCCA guidelines. Also, windblockers are now available for both styles of double hoop rollbars. Please specify either WBX or WB(std). Boss Frog made the very first Double Hoop roll bar for the Mazda Miata. Others tried to copy the look, but they have never been able to achieve the strength of the Frog's patent pending design. The Boss Frog Double Hoop roll bar is made of the highest quality 1-3/4" x 1/8" wall DOM tubing, with heavy 7 gauge laser cut flat parts. Each roll bar is manufactured in a precision welding fixture to assure the absolute best fit in your car. We utilize TIG welding for all tubing joints, to provide a higher strength but yet smaller weld joint, and the highest quality finished appearance. Available in three finishes:
The secret to the Boss Frog Double Hoop's strength is the unique saddle, which straddles the Miata's "hump". In rollover testing per SCCA guidelines, the patent pending saddle design helped to distribute the load to the floor of the car. The vehicle frame bent in half from the pressure, but the rollbar was completely intact.
