You can be assured of many years of superior handling performance with these proven bars! The diameter of the rear bar is 5/8-inches and weighs 3.5 lbs. This rear bar incorporates two attachment points to allow limited adjustment of oversteer/understeer handling characteristics. An additional feature of the rear bar is a pair of "stoppers" to prevent the bar from sliding sideways in the bar bushings during heavy cornering effort. Update: While this rear bar can be used on all 1990-2003 applications, we do not recommend the use of this bar on the 2001-3 applications. Our testing shown that the 2001 Miata exhibits low-speed oversteer that can be corrected by the use of a larger front sway bar. For the 2001+ application we recommend our 1.25” front tubular bar only. We have found that the use of this larger front bar offers a more “balanced” handling characteristic on the 2001 model.
