Mazda Miata MX-5 BTP NC Turbo System 2006-2014
The power of the BTP NC Turbo system is incredible! The BTP NC system improves power a full 100 whp over stock, and features components not found in any other systems. The newest revisions include the separated gases downpipe, battery relocation, straighter, more efficient intercooler tubes, better intercooler mounting, and no need to relocate the power steering reservoir. The parts BTP is known for are all included! The separated gases downpipe, most efficient intercooler available, and header style exhaust manifold are improvements unprecedented in turbocharging. The downpipe is made from stainless steel, and the manifold is made of cast schedule 40 weld-els and is ceramic coated. It also features a new power improving design with longer cylinder runners. Many other power improvements are evident in the details. Temperature reductions throughout the system have also received special attention. The water and oil lines to the turbo are all stainless steel. The system includes relocating the air filter to avoid heat soak, and t-bolt hose clamps on all post-turbo tubes. The intercoolers all have sheet metal end tanks with a bar and plate core, and the standard intercooler (#2) is rated to 300 whp. The tubes come powder coated standard in black or gun metal grey, along with black turbo hose.
The NC Turbo System, Xede Engine management, and 550 cc injectors produced 238 whp on the base map (at 8 psi with a stock exhaust). In-house tuning improved the power output to 249 whp. That is 104 whp more than stock! If a 3" exhaust system was added, it would be reasonable to expect a 15 to 20 whp gain.
The Turbo System can be purchased with Engine Management or without. We recommend the Xede Engine Management for applications up to 10 psi. Beyond 10 psi, we recommend the ECU Tek from Moto East. The Xede is simple, fully tunable, and gets the job done with minimal fuss. The Xede can also perform a Wideband O2 sensor correction as a safety measure, and control a Meth/Water Injection kit for even more performance. If you would like to use the turbo system with a standalone ECU or ECU tek, please let us know so that we can build the appropriate parts. A Speed Density System would eliminate the MAF.
This system will fit all 2006-2015 MX-5 Miatas. It will also fit the UK 1.8L NC LHD cars. Unfortunately, the system will not fit RHD cars.

Intercooler: The NC turbo system comes with IC # 2, which is rated for 300whp. If you autocross or upgrade the turbo, we recommend that you go up on intercooler size. IC # 3 is rated to 350 whp, and IC # 1 is rated to 250 whp.
Fueling: The Xede is the best option for the NC MX-5 up to 10 psi, and includes four 550 cc Injectors that are direct stock replacement. No clips needed. It is capable of handling 320 whp and 14 psi. It can allow you to pass OBD II inspection without having to remove injectors or the Xede. Beyond 10 psi, the Moto-East ECU Tek is the preferred option.
Color: All steel tubes for the turbo system come powder coated. Black wrinkle and Gun Metal Grey are our standard colors.
Turbo Size: The NC Turbo system comes with the GT2860 turbo, however you can upgrade to a larger turbo. The GT2871 is great for a little bit higher top end power and still retains decent turbo spool. The GT2860RS is offered in two different turbine sizes. The GT2860RS with the 0.64 turbine offers faster turbo spooling, while maintaining good top end power level. The GT2860RS with the 0.80 turbine is great for top end power levels. We will include the 0.82 A/R unless otherwise specified. The GT2560 is not recommended to as it tends to boost creep. Speed Density: Choose this option if you are using an aftermarket ECU. Such as a Motec. This will eliminate the MAF mount and add on a temperature sensor bung to the throttle body inlet tube.
