Typically, a tubular bar is larger in diameter than a solid bar of the same rigidity. Even though a tubular bar may be larger in diameter than a smaller solid bar, the rigidity of both bars can be the same, but the tubular bar has the benefit of weight savings. By design, the Racing Beat tubular bar is substantially more rigid than the stock 3/4-inch bar, but this bar weighs just 5.5 lbs ! (As compared to the stock bar – 6 lbs.)
