Mazda Miata Coolant Reroute Kit by Cobalt 1994-2005

We all want our Miata's to run as best they can but did you know that your Miata, from the factory, isn't running as optimally as it could? The Miata's engine was originally designed for a front wheel drive chassis so to make this engine work in a rear wheel drive chassis Mazda had to move things around and one of the things they moved around was how the coolant runs through the engine. To package the motor they moved the coolant exit from the rear of the engine to the front. This is great for packaging but not great for coolant flow, to fix the issue we moved the exit back to its rightful place and restored the correct flow of coolant through your engine.

Our kit comes with a brand new custom bent stainless steel EGR tube. We include the EGR tube because we want to not only make sure that there are no check engine lights but that you also have an easier time installing our kit. You also get with the kit our custom-machined thermostat spacer. We designed the spacer to retain the factory coolant temperature sensor positions, which means no cutting or extending those wires. The custom one-piece coolant hose that we include cuts down on failure points and is made of silicone so will last longer than rubber. Finally, we include all of the needed hardware and gaskets as well as complete instructions to make the install as easy as possible.
