The classic Simpson Design short shifter replaces the factory shift lever on first and second generation Miatas with 5-speed gear or 6-speed boxes to provide a more positive feel and shorter throws.

A high quality part made from 316 stainless steel with a delron pivot ball, the Simpson short throw will not damage your transmission, unlike some other products on the market. The installation is very quick. You'll probably be able to do the work yourself or you can get it done inexpensively at your favorite shop.

Use it in with your factory knob or an aftermarket knob and experience a new joy in driving your Miata.
